Bahama Breeze is part of my February 2022 florals collection, which I created for two reasons: to practice painting flowers, since I love them but am still learning how to paint them well, and to explore how florals could blend with my abstract style. The piece has a distinctly tropical feel, with bold color and expressive movement woven throughout. One of my favorite details is the orange hibiscus flower, which reminds me of an inside joke shared between my mom, my sister, and me, making the painting feel especially personal and meaningful.
